Safari Wildlife in Zambia

Overview and Setting

The lodge sits on the high banks of the Maramba River, where the water is thick with pods of hippos. Located within the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, elephants frequently wander through the grounds to reach the river, often brushing past the chalets at dusk.

The aim of Maramba River Lodge is to provide a wild, un-fenced bush experience within ten minutes of Livingstone’s center. It is the ideal choice for travelers who enjoy the proximity to Victoria Falls while seeing elephants from their own porch.

Note on the Residents

“Because the lodge is in a national park, baboons are opportunistic thieves; keep your windows latched and your snacks hidden to enjoy a trouble-free stay.”
